Bulldogs 20th in latest NAIA Top 25 Poll

The Concordia University men’s basketball team moved into the top 25 in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll.  It’s the first time the Bulldogs have been ranked this season.  Concordia is tied for 20th in the poll with Indiana University East.  Concordia is one of three GPAC schools currently ranked in the top 25.  Briar Cliff is currently ranked fourth, and Sioux Falls is 24th.

The Bulldogs are 7-2 overall with a 3-1 mark in conference play on the young season.  Concordia picked up an impressive 82-71 win over Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday.  Concordia is currently tied for second in the GPAC standings.  Briar Cliff is alone in first place with a perfect 10-0 record overall to go along with a 4-0 mark in GPAC games.

This is an important stretch of the season for the Bulldogs.  Concordia hosts Hastings College Wednesday evening (8 pm at the HHPAC) and then visits Northwestern in a key conference contest on Saturday.  Northwestern is currently tied with Concordia in the GPAC standings at 3-1.

Next week, the Bulldogs travel to take on Bellevue University on December 16.  The Bruins are currently ranked ninth in the Top 25 poll.
