Grabanski named to 2024 NAIA preseason All-America team

2024 NAIA Baseball Preseason All-Americans

SEWARD, Neb. – In recognition of an impressive freshman through junior run, Concordia University Baseball slugger Joey Grabanski has been named to the 2024 NAIA baseball preseason All-America team. The 17-player squad was unveiled on Thursday (Jan. 25) by the NAIA. Grabanski is one of two players from the GPAC to receive preseason All-America status. Additionally, the @NAIAball account named Grabanski to its 2024 preseason All-NAIA team.

The Grand Forks, N.D., native Grabanski earned 2023 NAIA Second Team All-America accolades and enters 2024 as the reigning GPAC Player of the Year. Grabanski enjoyed a record-breaking 2023 campaign that saw him hit .382 with a .484 on-base percentage and .831 slugging percentage in 58 games. He broke school single season records for home runs (27) and RBIs (85). Teammate Jaidan Quinn (an NAIA Second Team All-American) also belted 27 home runs.

In 170 career collegiate games, Grabanski has batted .378 (230-for-609) with 168 runs scored, 40 doubles, 62 home runs, 212 RBIs and 456 total bases. According to the NAIA record book available online, the NAIA career record for home runs is 77 while the all-time RBI record is 295. Grabanski has been tabbed a First Team All-GPAC honoree three times and has helped lead Concordia to national tournament appearances each season.

Grabanski and the Bulldogs are slated to open the 2024 season on Feb. 10 with two games in Oklahoma City. The complete 2024 Concordia Baseball schedule can be found HERE.
