Bulldogs land five standouts on CSC Academic All-District honor roll

2026 CSC Academic All-District Baseball Teams

SEWARD, Neb. – A group of five standouts from the Concordia University, Nebraska Baseball program landed on the College Sports Communicators list of 2026 Academic All-District honor roll announced on Tuesday (June 2). The award winners are graduate student Alex Johnson, seniors Zackery Day and Bronx Lewis and sophomores Micah Sweeton and Jake Watson. Both Johnson and Lewis are repeat Academic All-District honorees.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. Nominees also had to meet specific requirements in terms of games played or started during the 2026 season. Five is the maximum number of honorees an institution was allowed to nominate for all-district recognition. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Zackery Day | Sr. | Simi Valley, Calif.
Major: Recreation and Sport Studies
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 3x NAIA Scholar-Athlete; owns program records for stolen bases in a season (36) and for a career (107).

Alex Johnson | Grad | Olathe, Kan.
Major: Psychology (undergrad degree); MBA
Notes: 2x CSC Academic All-District; 2025 CSC Second Team All-American; 2x GPAC Pitcher of the Year; 3x First Team All-GPAC; 5x NAIA Scholar-Athlete; school record holder for strikeouts in a single season (109) and career (320); all-time program rankings of first in career starts (51), first in strikeouts (320), tied for third in wins (26), fourth in innings pitched (237) and seventh in ERA (3.49).

Bronx Lewis | Sr. | Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Major: Business Administration
Notes: 2x CSC Academic All-District; 2x GPAC All-Conference (first team in 2026); 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athlete; ranked second in NAIA for home runs (25) and slashed .342/.496/.826 in 2026.

Micah Sweeton | So. | Temecula, Calif.
Major: Recreation and Sport Studies
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2025 HM All-GPAC; 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athlete; posted a 2.74 ERA with 78 strikeouts in 46 innings in 2026.

Jake Watson | So. | Lincoln, Neb.
Major: Exercise Science
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2026 First Team All-GPAC; 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athlete; slashed .349/.441/.609 and broke school single season record for putouts (479) in 2026.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk (in the CSC release) and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 23.
