SEWARD, Neb. – Both school record holders, Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field standouts Hayden Kluthe and Adrianna Rodencal have put together spectacular 2025-26 indoor seasons. In recognition of their accomplishments, the star hurdlers have been voted Bulldog Athletics Association Member Athletes (BAAM) of the Month for January 2026. The winners emerged from a vote conducted on Tuesday (Feb. 10) among attendees at the BAAM luncheon. BAAM luncheons are held every Tuesday (when classes are in session) at 12 p.m. CT inside the Dog House Grill.

A two-time BAAM Athlete of the Week in January, Kluthe has elevated his game as a junior. Most significantly, Kluthe broke the men’s school 60-meter hurdles record in a time of 8.04 achieved at the Concordia Classic on Jan. 31 (breaking the previous record of 8.13). The Ord, Neb., native won meet titles in the 60 hurdles at both the Concordia Polar Dog Invite (8.14) and the Concordia Classic. Throughout the month, Kluthe ran respective 60 hurdles times of 8.41, 8.23, 8.16, 8.14, 8.19 and 8.04. The Exercise Science major is a two-time all-conference honoree in the 60 hurdles and earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2024-25 academic year.

Rodencal is making her mark as one of Concordia’s all-time greats while chasing down exceptionally lofty goals as a senior. In the month of January, the Lincoln Lutheran High School alum ran her fastest 60 hurdles time of 8.41 in the finals (first place) of the Graduate Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her time of 8.43 at the Concordia Classic represents a Walz Fieldhouse record. In January, Rodencal ran respective 60 hurdles times of 8.45, 8.41, 8.47, 8.45 and 8.43. She found another gear at the Sevigne Husker Invite on Feb. 7 by clocking in at 8.26 while place first and shattering her own program standard. In other highlights of the month, Rodencal ran an NAIA B standard of 57.93 in the 400 meters and helped the 4x4 relay to a time of 3:57.85 at the Concordia Classic. Rodencal was named GPAC Athlete of the Week on Jan. 21 and was tabbed the NAIA National Track & Field Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA on Feb. 9. She ranks No. 1 in the NAIA this season in the 60 hurdles with a PR that places her No. 4 in the history of the NAIA.
