SEWARD, Neb. – For their performances throughout the calendar month, junior Brooks Kissinger of the men’s basketball program and sophomore Adysen McCarter of the track & field program have been voted Bulldog Athletics Association Member Athletes (BAAM) of the Month for December 2025. The winners emerged from a vote conducted on Tuesday (Jan. 13) among attendees at the BAAM luncheon. BAAM luncheons are held every Tuesday (when classes are in session) at 12 p.m. CT inside the Dog House Grill. Kissinger has won back-to-back monthly awards while McCarter has earned this distinction for the first time.

An Ashland, Neb., native and Ashland-Greenwood High School product, Kissinger has continued a sterling junior campaign for Head Coach Ben Limback’s Bulldogs. Over seven games in December, Kissinger averaged 20.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 55.7 percent (49-for-88) from the field, 45.0 percent (9-for-20) from 3-point range and 61.9 percent (39-for-63) from the foul line. Kissinger was recognized as the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week on Dec. 9 (one of four weekly awards earned this season). On the season, Kissinger is averaging 20.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game to go along with a 60.6 shooting percentage. He ranks third among GPAC players for scoring average. Since the calendar flipped to 2026, Kissinger has twice posted 29 points (versus Northwestern / Morningside). Kissinger is majoring in Business Administration. Kissinger and his teammates have produced a 13-5 overall (7-3 GPAC) record so far this 2025-26 season.

A national qualifier for indoor and outdoor as a freshman last season, McCarter has started strong as a sophomore. The Overton, Neb., native broke the women’s track & field program indoor record in the triple jump with her mark of 39’ 1” at the Bulldog Early Bird meet on Dec. 13 (the previous record of 38’ 2 ¾” had stood since 2019). At that same meet, McCarter helped the team’s 4x400-meter relay to an NAIA ‘B’ standard of 3:57.37 and also ran the 60 meters in 7.96 seconds. McCarter was named GPAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week on Dec. 17. On the current leaderboards, McCarter ranks first in the GPAC and fourth nationally in the triple jump. Additionally, McCarter’s name stands atop the school record books in the outdoor triple jump (39’ 1 ¾”) and as part of the 4x100-meter relay (46.80). A four-time GPAC All-Conference honoree, McCarter is a Pre-Chiropractic major.
