
SEWARD, Neb. – As announced by the league office on May 11, Concordia University, Nebraska Athletics has placed second in the final GPAC All-Sports Standings for the 2025-26 athletic year. The department is a five-time GPAC All-Sports Trophy Champion, with titles coming in 2002-03, 2004-05, 2014-15, 2021-22 and 2023-24, and appeared poised to claim the trophy in 2019-20 before the COVID-19 shutdown. Concordia Athletics has placed either first or second in the GPAC All-Sports Standings for the seventh straight year and for the 10th time in the past 11 seasons.
Out of the 21 Bulldog teams that compete in the GPAC, 16 placed within the top four of the conference regular season standings throughout 2025-26. The list includes five teams that placed second: baseball, women’s soccer, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Head Coach Jason Weides’ men’s soccer program captured the 2025 GPAC tournament championship. Additionally, Concordia reached GPAC postseason championship games in the sports of baseball, men’s basketball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and volleyball. Meanwhile, wrestling claimed second place at the GPAC Championships.
During the 2025-26 athletic year, Concordia has qualified teams/athletes for national championships in the sports of baseball, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, competitive dance, men’s indoor and outdoor track & field, women’s indoor and outdoor track & field, volleyball, wrestling, shooting sports, powerlifting and weightlifting. GPAC Player/Athlete of the Year award winners were Alex Johnson (baseball), Ashley Keck (volleyball) and Adrianna Rodencal (outdoor track & field).
The GPAC’s all-sports standings were also broken down between men and women. Concordia ranked No. 2 in the GPAC in the women’s standings and landed at No. 3 in the men’s standings.
