SEWARD, Neb. – With athletics at a standstill, the Concordia University Athletic Department and 104.9 Max Country have revamped the format of the Bulldog Coaches Show. The weekly program, which airs each Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT, will resume on Thursday, April 9. Eight shows remain on the calendar for the 2019-20 athletic year (final show on May 28).

In the new format, host Tyler Cavalli will be joined by Director of Athletics Devin Smith while covering a range of topics related to Concordia Athletics. Director of Athletic Communications Jake Knabel will also occasionally lend insight to the show. Previously, the Bulldog Coaches Show included interviews with coaches who were currently in the heat of their seasons.

Some topics of discussion over the next eight weeks will include:

·        The shutdown of athletics and how it came about.

·        Concordia winter success.

·        Current happenings in Concordia Athletics and managing through the coronavirus epidemic.

·        Breaking down upcoming fall sports and schedules.

·        Athletic changes for 2020-21.

·        NAIA basketball evolution and transition to one division.

·        Q&A from listener questions.

The 2019-20 academic year marked the fifth year of the partnership between Concordia and Max Country. The radio home of the Bulldogs features live broadcasts of football, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball. Be sure to download the Max Country app to your mobile devices.
