Tarence Roby has starred this season as one of the nation’s most dangerous return men. He made waves on Sept. 9 when he returned an interception for a collegiate football record-tying 100 yards for a touchdown in a win over Ottawa University (Kan.). Last week Roby piled up 244 more yards on returns. The senior defensive back sports national rankings of fourth in yards per kick return (33.9), 10th in yards per punt return (11.9) and 21st in all-purpose yards per game (135.2). Defensively, Roby has recorded 15 tackles and a pair of interceptions.

While assuming the goalkeeper role along with Jessica Knedler, Lindsey Carley has helped the Concordia women’s soccer program continue an impressive run against conference opponents (11-straight wins). This season Carley has started eight of 11 games and has allowed just five goals. She has recorded two shutouts and owns a record of 5-1-2. Her goals against average of 0.71 ranks 30th best among all goalkeepers in NAIA women’s soccer. Carley earned GPAC defensive player of the week accolades on Sept. 5. Carley and the Bulldogs entered this week with an overall record of 7-2-2.

Maria Deeter (soccer) and Micah Lehenbauer (soccer) were tabbed the Bulldog Athletic Association Athletes of the Week on Oct. 3. They will be among the pool of contenders for October athlete of the month accolades.
