    Bulldogs outgunned in GPAC shootout at No. 23 Morningside

    Plenty of firepower was on display on Wednesday night in Sioux City, Iowa, where 23rd-ranked Morningside held off Concordia, 92-88. Eli Ziegler put up 19 of his team high 22 points in the first half.

  • For the first time this season, the 13th-ranked Concordia wrestling squad will entertain the home fans inside Walz Arena. The Bulldogs host Northwest Kansas Technical College at 7 p.m. CT on Friday.

    After helping lead Concordia to a win over No. 1 Dakota Wesleyan, junior guard Mary Janovich has been named the GPAC and NAIA national player of the week. She scored 19 points and dished out five assists versus Dakota Wesleyan.

    Sophomore Taylor Grove has already locked up a spot in the 2017 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Grove placed second with an automatic qualifying time at the Warrior Half Marathon.

    Concordia upset No. 10 Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday and improved to 6-0 at home this season. The red-hot Bulldogs shot 62.5 percent from the field and got a career high 20 points from Seth Curran.

    In a heart stopper, seventh-ranked Concordia took down top-ranked and previously unbeaten Dakota Wesleyan, 85-82, on Saturday afternoon. Shelby Quinn led the Bulldogs (6-0 GPAC) with 20 points.
