Rev. Mark Rosenau recently retired from fulltime ministry having served three separate calls: Chaplain at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln, NE, from 1978-1998; Senior Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE, from 1998-2004; and, Senior Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Owatonna, MN, from 2004-2018.

Mark and his wife, Sue, have been married since May 1977 and are blessed with three children and five grandchildren. With retirement Mark and Sue moved back to Lincoln, NE, in December with a desire to be more intimately involved in life and faith with their family.

Mark’s heart was shaped uniquely through ministry in prison as God matured him to faithfully fulfill pastoral duties and in the study of the human document, understanding people. Mark’s hobbies include distance bicycling, wilderness canoeing/camping along the U.S./Canada border, motorcycle touring and designing and building custom furniture.

By fall Sue intends to resume teaching Suzuki method piano. Mark is praying for God’s direction on how to best serve Christ and His Church, a privilege beyond measure.
