    Attack muzzled by Mustangs in first GPAC defeat

    The highest scoring team in the GPAC met its match on Wednesday (Oct. 4) as the Bulldogs were shut out by visiting Morningside, 1-0. The Mustangs got a goal in the 25th minute and road it to victory inside Bulldog Stadium.

    Having gone unbeaten (5-0-1) in the last six matchups, Concordia will be challenged by two foes (Morningside and Jamestown) who sit near the top of the GPAC. Coach Nick Smith’s young squad is 8-2-1 overall and 4-0-1 GPAC.

    Two teams with 3-0 conference marks went head-to-head on Wednesday (Sept. 27) as Concordia and Midland renewed their rivalry. The Bulldogs (7-2-1) settled for a 1-1 draw after having enjoyed a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The Bulldogs had graduated a pair of first team all-conference choices and a second team all-league selection after the program had earned its first-ever national tournament bid.
