At 6-0, the Bulldogs have equaled a program record for the longest unbeaten run to begin a season. The Bulldogs will attempt to extend the winning streak this week as they take on Dordt and Northwestern in GPAC play.
After a slow start, Concordia exploded in the second half and blew out Mount Marty, 6-0, in its GPAC opener on Saturday (Sept. 17). Five different Bulldogs scored a goal as the team moved to 6-0 this season.
The Bulldogs have rolled to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2003. Three Concordia players found the back of the net at least once on Tuesday (Sept. 13) and a strong collective defensive effort resulted in another shutout win.
A five-save shutout performance at No. 25 Benedictine has led to Kalie Ward being named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. This marks the first time Ward has been recognized with this honor.
Following a win at No. 25 Benedictine, the Bulldogs will attempt to remain unbeaten while hosting Bethany College on Tuesday. Concordia will then open GPAC play on Saturday with a trip to Mount Marty.
Kierstynn Garner scored the game's lone goal on an impressive strike, Kalie Ward made big-time saves and the Bulldogs picked up a 1-0 win over No. 25 Benedictine on Saturday (Sept. 10). Concordia is 4-0 for the first time since 2006.
Concordia Women's Soccer has moved to 3-0 for the first time since the 2017 season with a 5-2 victory Tuesday (Sept. 6) at Graceland. Kierstynn Garner scored two goals as part of the onslaught.
Following two wins over KCAC opponents, the Bulldogs will be on the road for two matchups with HAAC foes: Graceland on Tuesday and No. 22 Benedictine on Saturday. Concordia defeated Tabor, 1-0, this past weekend.
For the second Saturday in a row, Concordia recorded a win over a KCAC opponent. In the latest outing, freshman Elena Ruiz found the back of the net and the keeper duo of Angela Banks and Kalie Ward combined for a shutout.
The Bulldogs hope to defeat another KCAC opponent as they look forward to a Saturday trip to Tabor College. The two programs have met three times since 2018 with Concordia winning two of those matchups.
