    Sanchez picks up conference honor

    Concordia University forward Jamie Sanchez is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s soccer offensive player-of-the-week. Sanchez, a junior from Lincoln, earned the honor after helping the Bulldogs to a pair of wins this past week.

    The Concordia University women’s soccer team picked up its third straight win with a 3-0 victory over Morningside College on Saturday evening in Sioux City. The Bulldogs improved to 8-6-1 overall and 4-4-1 in GPAC play.

The Bulldogs had graduated a pair of first team all-conference choices and a second team all-league selection after the program had earned its first-ever national tournament bid.
