For her work at libero, freshman Emma Brueggemann has earned her second GPAC Player of the Week award over the past three weeks. Brueggemann helped the Bulldogs to wins last week over Hastings and Dordt.

Two home wins last week propel the Bulldogs into their Sioux City road trip with a 6-0 conference record. Concordia has held each of its GPAC opponents to hitting percentages below .100.

It was the type of defensive battle the second-ranked Bulldogs are comfortable in. Concordia limited a sixth straight GPAC foe to a hitting percentage south of .100 and celebrated a senior day victory over Dordt.

There was a brief hiccup to begin the evening, but the second-ranked Bulldogs quickly established control thanks to superior service and defensive play. Ashley Keck led all players with nine kills.

The weekly awards continue to roll in for the second-ranked Bulldogs. On Tuesday (Sept. 23), Ella Brueggemann and Ashley Keck earned GPAC Player of the Week awards.

The Bulldogs will entertain the home fans twice this week as they get set to welcome Hastings and Dordt to Friedrich Arena. Prior to Saturday's match, Concordia will honor a class of 10 seniors.

For a second straight outing this week, No. 2 Concordia shook off a downer in the first set and took control. Ashley Keck led the way with 19 kills as the Bulldogs won at Doane in four sets.

In a defensive battle, the second-ranked Bulldogs cruised past No. 17 Midland in four sets on Wednesday (Sept. 17). Concordia enjoyed a 17-7 advantage in blocks and held the Warriors to an .056 hitting percentage.

A starter at libero as a freshman, Emma Brueggemann helped limit College of Saint Marty to a negative hitting percentage in last week's Concordia victory. Brueggemann notched a season high 23 digs in the win.

After a weekend off, the second-ranked Bulldogs will return to action this week with matchups against two in-state rivals. Concordia will go head-to-head with No. 17 Midland in a ranked clash.
