Concordia Softball and College of Saint Mary have postponed the scheduled meeting on Sunday (March 27) due to cold temperatures in the forecast. The makeup date is set for Monday, April 4.

Camry Moore and Jerzi Rowe both turned in strong pitching performances on a chilly day of home opening softball at Plum Creek Park. The Bulldogs split the doubleheader with Dordt in low scoring contests.

Due to inclement weather, the home opener for Concordia Softball has been postponed. The Bulldogs are now scheduled to host Dordt on Saturday and College of Saint Mary on Sunday with doubleheaders beginning at 1 p.m. both days.

Now 22 games deep into the 2022 season, the Bulldogs will play at home for the first time this season as they get set to welcome College of Saint Mary and Dordt to Plum Creek Park. Concordia will try to bounce back after being swept at Midland.

While opening conference play with the defending GPAC champions, Concordia fell twice in the doubleheader at Midland. The Bulldogs were unable to pull out game one despite a strong pitching performance from Camry Moore.

The first action of 2022 within the state of Nebraska is coming up this week as the Bulldogs will be at Nebraska Wesleyan on Thursday and at Midland on Saturday. Concordia owns an 11-9 overall record after going 2-6 in Tucson.

A run-rule win over No. 19 Olivet Nazarene provided the biggest highlight of Concordia's final day at the Tucson Invite. The Bulldogs were also defeated by Aquinas and will return to Nebraska with an 11-9 overall record.

Concordia played well enough to win on Thursday (March 10) but came up just short in a 4-3 eight-inning defeat at the hands of NCAA Division III Buena Vista. Camry Moore went 3-for-3 with a run while staying hot.

The Bulldogs surrendered four runs in the top of the first and committed five errors while falling at the hands of Dickinson State, 7-6, on Wednesday (March 9). Kylee Nixon, Caitlyn McGarvie and Camry Moore combined for 10 hits.
In 2014 then first-year head coach Todd LaVelle guided the Concordia University softball team to its first-ever national tournament appearance. A year later the Bulldogs captured the program’s first-ever win on the national stage.
For the second time in program history, and for the first time since 2007, the Concordia University softball team has earned the distinction of GPAC tournament champion.
