Caitlyn McGarvie rapped out five hits while leading Concordia to a win over RPI as part of a 1-1 first day at the Tucson Invitational. An 11-run inning highlighted the day for the Bulldogs, who will play nine games at the invite.

A red hot weekend in Wichita resulted in Kylie Shottenkirk earning GPAC Player of the Week honors. The Lincoln North Star High School product went 9-for-14 (.643) with two home runs and 11 RBIs at the plate last week over four games.

The Bulldogs ended the Friends Invite in sizzling fashion, busting out for 24 runs on 27 hits in two run-rule victories on Saturday (March 4). Four Concordia players collected at least four hits on the day as the team moved its record to 6-6.

A big day for Kylie Shottenkirk helped power an offense that totaled 22 runs on 23 hits on Friday (March 3) in Wichita. Shottenkirk, Hanna Bowers and Delanie Voshell each homered as part of a 1-1 day at the Friends Invite.

Concordia Softball is gearing up to play 13 games over an eight-day stretch as part of a spring break trip to Wichita, Kan., and Tucson, Ariz. The Bulldogs enter the journey with a 3-5 overall record.

The sixth inning of both ends of the doubleheader in Atchison, Kan., haunted the Bulldogs, who fell by scores of 11-3 (six innings) and 7-5 on Sunday (Feb. 26). Four Concordia hitters recorded multiple hits on the day.

After a rough first game on Saturday (Feb. 25), the Bulldogs responded with a 5-3 win that featured strong pitching from Megan Eurich and clutch hitting from Zoie Isom. The Bulldogs managed to split the twin bill at University of Saint Mary.

In the second weekend of the 2023 season, Concordia Softball will be headed to Kansas for doubleheaders on the home turf of University of Saint Mary and Benedictine College. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-2 mark at the KC Invite.

The Bulldogs went 1-1 on day two of the Kansas City NAIA Softball Invite. They fell to Baker, 5-3, and then defeated Benedictine, 5-2, in Shawnee, Kan. Taylor Glause drove in four runs on the day and Megan Eurich threw a complete game in the win.
In 2014 then first-year head coach Todd LaVelle guided the Concordia University softball team to its first-ever national tournament appearance. A year later the Bulldogs captured the program’s first-ever win on the national stage.
For the second time in program history, and for the first time since 2007, the Concordia University softball team has earned the distinction of GPAC tournament champion.
