The Concordia men’s soccer team stepped on the field to face Bellevue University at a windy Papillion Landing as people lined the sideline with blankets and coats because of a fast temperature drop throughout the game.
The Bulldogs will travel for the first time to Bellevue University (Sept. 5), while returning home for a clash with McPherson College (Kan.) on Saturday (Sept. 9).
After having conceded two early goals in their first two matches, the Bulldogs locked down the Bluejays' attacking third claiming their first shutout Saturday night (Sept. 2).
Concordia let an early nightmare goal slip through against York University for the second game in a row, but once again the Bulldogs stayed unphased rattling off three unanswered.
With the first notch in their 2023 belt, Concordia will open the current week hosting two KCAC opponents starting with York University and Tabor College (Kan.).

For its exceptional work in the classroom, the Concordia Men’s Soccer program has garnered the 2022-23 College Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches. Eight Bulldogs had earned Scholar-Athlete honors this past season.
The Concordia University Soccer program will begin its season by receiving votes (RV) in the 2023 NAIA preseason poll. The league office announced the Bulldogs received 27 votes on Wednesday (Aug. 16) which eclipses their highest total in the 2022 season with 11 on Oct. 26.
