The Bulldogs remain one of the nation's most difficult teams to score upon. On Saturday (Oct. 1) Concordia recorded another shutout in a 3-0 win at Morningside.
Concordia had hoped to duplicate the result it produced at Hastings in 2015 in Wednesday's (Sept. 28) rematch of last year's GPAC title game. The fourth-ranked Broncos held off the Bulldogs, 1-0.
Concordia will put a seven-game unbeaten streak against GPAC opponents on the line on Wednesday when it takes on undefeated Hastings in a rematch of the 2015 conference tournament title game.
Marcelo Hernandez accounted for both Bulldogs goals, including the game winner in overtime, for the victorious Bulldogs on Saturday. Concordia opened GPAC play versus Northwestern.
The GPAC slate begins Saturday for Concordia, which owns an active six-game unbeaten streak against conference opponents.
Micah Lehenbauer notched a pair of goals as part of a 2-2 draw at Nebraska Wesleyan on Monday night (Sept. 19). Concordia held an advantage of 21-10 in shots.
