The journey of Iker Casanova has included travels from Mexico City to Spain to Concordia Nebraska. Ultimately, year five at CUNE resulted in one of the highest honors ever earned by a Bulldog and a rewarding season that went beyond the accolades.

Eight Bulldogs from the Concordia Men's Soccer program were recognized with 2024 All-Midlands Team accolades on Dec. 26 by the Omaha World-Herald.

A two-time All-GPAC goalkeeper, Nolan Fuelberth was honored by College Sports Communicators as a First Team Academic All-American. The award recognizes student-athletes for academic and athletic excellence.
In a season that came up one win shy of a national tournament berth, the Bulldogs contended closely for GPAC championships in both the regular season and postseason. Concordia was characterized by its air-tight defensive play.

For the second year in a row, Concordia Men's Soccer has placed nine team members on the list of NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Five of the honorees earned the award in back-to-back years.

Four Bulldogs were named 2024 Academic All-District honorees by College Sports Communicators: junior Nolan Fuelberth and sophomores Ferdi Hagen, Youssef Heggy and Michael Wyvill.

After placing as the GPAC runner up in the regular season and postseason, the Bulldogs landed eight players on the 2024 GPAC All-Conference teams. Iker Casanova was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Concordia men’s soccer carries motivation from an agonizing 2014 season-ending defeat into a new year. After falling 2-1 in overtime to perennial power Hastings in the GPAC semifinal game, the Bulldogs have set their sights on taking another step.
