For the second time in three weeks, All-American receiver Austin Jablonski has been named the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week. Jablonski hauled in eight receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns versus Hastings.
There were some rough patches, but the Bulldogs overcame them with a strong defensive effort and another massive statistical day from Austin Jablonski and Kyle Sterup. Concordia has moved to 7-2.
Concordia Football will carry a 6-2 record and three-game winning streak into Saturday's matchup with Hastings. Prior to kickoff, the Bulldogs will celebrate a group of 29 seniors.
It wasn’t for the faint of heart. Not until a defensive stand in the final seconds could the Bulldogs finally exhale and begin to celebrate. Ultimately, Concordia prevailed over Mount Marty, 31-27.

The first and only home game in October will feature Mount Marty as the opponent. As part of game day festivities, Concordia Athletics will honor Coach Courtney Meyer.
After breaking a school record for receiving yards in a single game, Austin Jablonski was named the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week. Jablonski caught 13 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown in the win at Doane.
Two weeks after the win at No. 2 Northwestern, the Bulldogs got back to action and blew out rival Doane, 45-10, as DJ McGarvie threw for four touchdowns and Mark Arp ran for two. Austin Jablonski notched 213 receiving yards.
Concordia University, Nebraska Athletics has declared Saturday, Oct. 26 Coach Courtney Meyer Day in conjunction with Bulldog Football versus Mount Marty. Coach Meyer will be celebrated as part of game day operations.
Off a bye week, the Bulldogs look to build upon the recent win at No. 2 Northwestern. Concordia and Doane will meet for the 69th time in the rivalry's history when the ball is kicked off in Crete on Saturday.
