Momentum has been building within the Concordia Cross Country programs as evidenced by both squads placing inside the top three of the GPAC last season. The Bulldogs return the bulk of their key performers while bringing in a freshman class large on quantity and quality.

The NAIA released their 2023 cross country national preseason poll on Thursday (Aug. 24) morning ranking the women No. 23 to start their 2023 campaign.

Expectations grow for the Bulldogs as the GPAC league office revealed the preseason cross country polls for both the men and women. The men and women garnered second in the polls while moving up from last season's preseason positioning.

For the third-straight year, Concordia Cross Country will ring in a new season at the Augustana University Twilight. That event on Sept. 1 will kick off a slate complete with six regular season outings in 2023.

As announced by the USTFCCCA on Jan. 26, both Bulldog squads have been recognized as All-Academic Teams and eight student-athletes have been honored as All-Academic Athletes.

Paced by Kylahn Freiberg, the Concordia women placed 27th nationally at the 2022 NAIA National Championships. Meanwhile, Camden Sesna finished his cross country career by running under 26 minutes in the 8k.

Twenty-five Bulldogs from the Concordia Cross Country teams have been named 2022 NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The men's team led the nation in Scholar-Athletes while the women's team ranked second.

Eight Bulldogs are gearing up to represent the Concordia University Cross Country programs at the 2022 NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. The qualifiers include the women's team and Camden Sesna.
