Vaughn Hendrickson and Trey Robertson again starred for Concordia Cross Country teams that tested themselves against some of the NAIA's best on Saturday (Oct. 26) at the Blazing Tiger Classic.

In a pivotal meet that serves as a precursor to the GPAC Championships, Concordia will take part in the 2024 Blazing Tiger Classic. Both Bulldog teams are receiving votes in the NAIA national polls.

Up against strong GPAC competition like Dordt and Doane, the Bulldogs made improvements as the men's and women's teams placed inside the top four in Sioux Center. Keegan Beisel and Vaughn Hendrickson were the lead Dawgs.

Concordia Cross Country is set to be in action in back-to-back Saturdays. Next up is the Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Dordt. The Bulldogs are coming off meet championships at the Briar Cliff Invite.

Just three meets into his collegiate career, freshman Vaughn Hendrickson has already been honored twice by the GPAC as the conference's Runner of the Week. Hendrickson won the Briar Cliff Invite.

Both Concordia Cross Country squads came away with Briar Cliff Invite championships on Saturday (Oct. 5) while led by the likes of Hannah Beintema and Vaughn Hendrickson in North Sioux City.

In meet No. 3 of the 2024 season, Concordia Cross Country will compete at the Briar Cliff Invitational, a meet that annually features a large field of GPAC squads. The meet will take place in North Sioux City, S.D.

The highest placing GPAC competitor at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite, Vaughn Hendrickson earned GPAC Runner of the Week accolades. Hendrickson ran the 8k race in 25:51.3.

In executing a strategic gameplan, the Bulldogs put together two solid races at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday (Sept. 21). The Bulldogs were paced by Vaughn Hendrickson and Hannah Beintema.
After 24 years under Kregg Einspahr, Concordia cross country is in the midst of a transition with first-year head coach Matt Beisel at the helm.
Concordia women’s cross country has again become a mainstay among the NAIA’s top-ranked squads. The 2015 Bulldogs have made six appearances in the national poll.
