Concordia will be one of 35 institutions represented at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational co-hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Saturday.

A 36th-place overall finish (best among NAIA competitors) at the Augustana Twilight resulted in Camden Sesna being named the GPAC Runner of the Week for the third time in his career. Sesna ran a four-mile personal best.

It was an encouraging start to the 2022 season as the Bulldog men's and women's teams defeated all of their GPAC/NAIA competition at the Augustana Twilight. The lead Dawgs were Kylahn Freiberg for the women and Camden Sesna for the men.

The 2022 Concordia Cross Country season will get started on Friday night at the Augustana Twilight. The women's race is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT with the men to follow at 9 p.m. from Yankton Trail Park.
Both Concordia Cross Country teams are preparing themselves to make runs at NAIA national championship berths. Coach Beisel's Bulldogs will be led by the likes of returning national qualifiers Rylee Haecker, Calvin Rohde and Camden Sesna.

In preseason polls released this week, both the Concordia men's and women's teams were picked to place inside of the top four of the GPAC while also picking up votes in the NAIA coaches' poll.
Concordia taught Andrew Walquist many lessons on how to build relationships, how to overcome emotional hardship, how to praise Jesus and how to become one of the best competitors in Concordia cross country and track history.

Another Concordia Cross Country season will get started underneath the lights at the Augustana Twilight. That event will be one of five during the regular season for Head Coach Matt Beisel's squads in 2022.

While ranking in the top 10 nationally in terms of GPA among all NAIA men's and women's programs, Concordia Cross Country earned All-Academic Team awards from the USTFCCCA. Three individuals were also honored.
