A tightly contested game turned into a comfortable win for the 11th-ranked Bulldogs on day one of the Cattle Classic. Concordia used a 13-0 second half run to pull away from Central for an 86-69 victory.

The 25th annual Cattle Classic will feature eight games over two days (Nov. 1-2). On the men's side, the event will give Concordia the opportunity to renew an old rivalry with Nebraska Wesleyan.

A week after being pegged first in the GPAC preseason poll, the Bulldogs landed at No. 11 in the NAIA preseason coaches' poll. It's the highest ranking for the program since 2005.
