Concordia men's basketball placed four members on the 2015-16 list of Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes released on Monday. Micah Kohlwey is a two-time Scholar-Athlete.
Junior Chandler Folkerts and Jamie Pearson headed the group of four Bulldogs named to the GPAC's all-conference team on Wednesday.
For the second-straight year, junior Chandler Folkerts has earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. The Milford native has risen to first team status in 2016.
The 2015-16 season marked the second in a row in which the Bulldogs were toppled in the GPAC quarterfinals at Dakota Wesleyan. Concordia ended the campaign at 18-12 overall.
The Concordia men’s basketball team will open the GPAC Tournament this week in Mitchell, S.D. The Bulldogs will travel north to take on 15th-ranked Dakota Wesleyan.
The 2015-16 regular season came to a conclusion on Saturday with a 98-84 loss at No. 6 Briar Cliff. The defeat means the Bulldogs will enter the postseason with an overall record of 18-11.
