The 2017-18 Concordia men's basketball season will tip off Oct. 30. A 30-game regular-season schedule was announced on Monday (June 19). The Bulldogs will make their first home appearance at the Cattle Classic (Nov. 3-4).
Chandler Folkerts has garnered yet another honor. The native of Milford, Neb., has been tabbed the Omaha World-Herald NAIA All-Nebraska honorary captain. He was also a second team All-American.
At a ceremony held in San Diego on Monday, Chandler Folkerts accepted the prestigious NAIA Liston Award. Folkerts delivered the opening prayer and gave a brief address at the banquet.

Senior Chandler Folkerts has been named a second team All-American. The award comes on the heels of numerous major honors for Folkerts, also the Liston Award winner and the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year.
Three senior members of the Concordia men’s basketball team have been awarded distinction as 2016-17 NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The list is headed by CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year Chandler Folkerts.
Chandler Folkerts earned first team all-conference honors for the third year in a row and was also named the GPAC's Defensive Player of the Year. Senior guard Eli Ziegler made his way onto the second team.
Chandler Folkerts has garnered the highest honors given out by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He has been selected for the Academic All-America® of the Year award.
The careers of four seniors, including Chandler Folkerts, concluded in the quarterfinals of the GPAC tournament on Wednesday evening. The Bulldogs finished 2016-17 with an overall record of 21-10.
