Concordia University secured an 82-71 men’s basketball win over Dakota Wesleyan University on Saturday evening in Seward. The Bulldogs led for most of the way, but had to hold off a late rally by DWU to pick up the win.

Doane College outscored Concordia by 16 in the second half and picked up an 82-65 men’s basketball win on Wednesday evening in Crete. The Tigers improved to 7-2 on the season with a 2-0 mark in conference play with the win.

The Concordia University men’s basketball team improved to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play with a 69-53 win over Midland University on Tuesday evening in Fremont. The Bulldogs used balanced scoring and a suffocating defense to pull away for the easy victory.

Concordia’s Tyler Byrd is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball Player-of-the-Week. He averaged 22 points and six rebounds a game as the Bulldogs went 2-0 this past week.

Concordia jumped out to an early lead and then held on for a 76-67 men’s basketball win over Morningside College on Saturday afternoon in Seward. The Bulldogs won their fifth straight game to improve to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Concordia University men’s basketball team used a huge second half to pull away for an 84-73 win over Bethany College on Saturday afternoon in York.

York College picked up a 71-63 men’s basketball win over Concordia on Friday evening at the Cornerstone Classic Tournament in York. It was the opening game of the season for both teams. Turnovers and cold shooting plagued the Bulldogs in the loss.
