Started and played 34 of 35 games and averaged 32.1 minutes per game ... averaged 11.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game ... shot 51.8 percent (141-for-272) from the floor, 36.5 percent (46-for-126) from 3-point range and 75.4 percent (52-for-69) from the foul line ... put up a season high 21 points in the win at Midland on Feb. 2 ... reached double figures in scoring 21 times ... hauled in a career high 14 rebounds in the win at Ottawa on Dec. 29 ... finished career with program all-time rankings of ninth in assists (300), 16th in rebounds (484) and 18th in scoring (1,276).

2020-21: Junior
Started in all 26 games and leading the team in minutes played per game with 31.8...while averaging 16.4 points, 2.96 assists and  1.58 steals...with a shooting percentages of .556 (160-for-288) from the floor, .410 (57-for-139) from the 3-point range and .685 (50-for-73) from the free-throw line...recorded season highs of 29 points against Hastings (Dec. 2),  nine rebounds against Jamestown (Jan. 9), six assist against Dordt (Feb. 3) and four steals against Dakota Wesleyan (Jan. 6)

2019-20: Sophomore
The rising star started 29 games and played in 30 while averaging 29.7 minutes per game (No. 1 on the team) ... averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game ... posted shooting percentages of .535 (121-for-226) from the floor, .362 (34-for-94) from 3-point range and .716 (48-for-67) from the free throw line ... turned in season highs of 22 points versus Northwestern (Feb. 26), 12 rebounds versus Doane (Feb. 5), eight assists versus Dordt (Jan. 4) and five steals versus Concordia-Michigan (Jan. 24).

2018-19: Freshman
Appeared in 27 of 31 games, making 13 starts (average of 19.0 minutes per game) ... averaged 5.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.59 assists per game ... shot 46.2 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from 3-point range and 76.7 percent from the free throw line ... tallied season highs of 15 points and seven assists in the upset win over No. 7 Briar Cliff on Jan. 12, 2019.

High School
Justin played for Coach Joe Johnson at Thompson Valley High School. He was a three year letter, two year starter for the Eagles. He was voted captain for one year. He was awarded All-Conference for two years, All-Area for two years and All-area Player of the Year for one year. He also played soccer all four years of high school, started three of the four years. He was awarded All-conference and All-Area player of the Year for two years as well.

Personal
Justin was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Steve Wiersema and Jana Piers. He has five siblings: Madi, Rhyan, Andrew, Becca and Camy. Justin enjoys playing video games and hanging with friends.
