Concordia University to celebrate Founders Day

Concordia University, Nebraska, will celebrate its 123rd anniversary on Friday, Nov. 17.

Concordia will celebrate its 123rd anniversary from 4:30-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 with a celebration at the Nebraska National Guard Museum.

Concordia was first opened as a college and three-year high school on Nov. 18, 1894. Since then, it has grown into a fully accredited university that has granted thousands of degrees to students.

The event is free and open to the public. A special “Chaplains in the Military Display” will be available for viewing in the museum. Light appetizers served by Chartwells, Concordia’s food service provider, and desserts provided by Tasteful Indulgence of Seward. Bottle Rocket Brewing Co. and Junto Winery will also host a cash bar at the event.
