Tate Hilgenkamp finished his first season as graduate assistant coach on the Concordia men’s basketball staff in 2016-17. The season culminated with a 21-10 overall record for the Bulldogs.
Hilgenkamp transitioned to Seward after completing his undergrad at Black Hills State University, where he earned a degree in exercise science and a minor in coaching. He served as a team captain at Black Hills State. In high school, Hilgenkamp garnered first team all-state honors twice. He was also an all-conference football player.
Tate is pursuing a masters in athletic administration from Concordia. He is the son of Dan and Jenny Hilgenkamp.
