Nikita Kostikov joined the Concordia University tennis staff beginning with the spring semester of 2018. A graduate of NCAA Division I Alcorn State University, Kostikov previously worked as a tennis professional and coordinator at Cliff Drysdale Tennis in Niceville, Fla.

Originally from Moscow, Russia, Kostikov earned numerous accolades during his four years at Alcorn State, located in Lorman, Miss. Kostikov collected All-South Western Athletic Conference accolades in singles, doubles or both in each collegiate season. He served as a team captain and rose to the status of No. 1 singles and doubles player for the Braves. He was voted the team MVP in 2016, the team’s best doubles player 2014 through 2016 and the most improved player in 2014. He helped Alcorn State win the SWAC championship in 2014.

During summer stay at Cliff Drysdale Tennis, Kostikov gave lessons to players of all ages and was closely involved with the operation of the tennis facility. While serving as tennis instructor and camp coordinator at Arcadia International Tennis Inc., in Brooklyn, N.Y., Kostikov performed many tasks, including providing lessons. He worked as a hitting partner with athletes that were recruited by St. John’s University and Binghamton University, respectively.

Nikita graduated from Alcorn State with his degree in accounting. He is currently pursuing an MBA in accounting. Nikita’s parents, Pavel and Natalia Kostikov, now live in Rishon LeZion, Israel.
