Megan Forbes Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations
"I’ve enjoyed learning how everyone really is focused on the same goal—a positive, Christ-centered education, helping the next generation of young people prepare to serve in the church and the world."
Megan Forbes does prospect research for Concordia’s office of advancement, researching individuals who may desire to give a gift to the university, as well as assisting others in the department with various projects that need an extra helping hand.
Megan spends most of her free time with her husband, Brian, and daughter, Jacquelyn. She loves to read, is a member of the Seward Junior Women’s Club and is relearning how to sew, after purchasing a sewing machine. Playing the piano is her go-to stress reliever.
What do you enjoy about working here?
Rather than always chasing a profit, I feel like I have more of a purpose, doing my small part to help students be able to reach their educational goals.
What has surprised you most about working at Concordia?
Being a part of the Concordia community, I’ve enjoyed learning how everyone really is focused on the same goal—a positive, Christ-centered education, helping the next generation of young people prepare to serve in the church and the world.
I feel very comfortable and at home here, which makes coming to work each day that much easier. Plus, I never realized just how much I could enjoy getting lost in my spreadsheets every day! Truly enjoying my job and workplace and feeling like I’m part of “something bigger” has made such a difference in my life already.
