Bryce Berg Athletics
Berg completed his first season as a full-time assistant baseball coach in 2016-17, working closely with hitters and catchers. He was elevated from his role of graduate assistant coach, which he served in 2015-16. He also fills a role as athletic equipment manager.
Berg has been on staff for the two winningest seasons in the history of the Concordia baseball program. The 2017 squad became the first in school annals to win the GPAC regular-season title, advance to the national tournament and eclipse the 30-win total. The Bulldogs went on to record their first ever national tournament victory. Offensively, Concordia has had two of its most productive seasons over the last two years, breaking single-season school records for runs scored, hits and home runs during that stretch.
The brother of 2017 senior Casey Berg, Bryce has coached for several different teams over the past few seasons. His resume includes stints with the Sioux Falls Cyclones 14U, Kuemper Catholic High School (assistant coach), Carroll Merchants Legion (assistant coach) and Carroll Classics Amateur Baseball (head coach).
As a collegian, Berg attended Iowa Central Community College before transferring and earning his degree in sport management from Augustana College. During a second team all-conference season at Augustana, Berg batted .392 with eight home runs and 51 RBIs. His successful college career followed a standout career at Kuemper Catholic, where he hit .480 with 64 RBIs and earned super team all-state recognition in 2011.
One of four Berg brothers, Bryce is married to Nicole (maiden name Williams). He is pursuing his masters of athletic administration from Concordia University.
