ATH: Concordia is top dog in scholar-athletes
Concordia University, Nebraska saved two surprises for the dedication of its newest building, the Health, Human Performance and Athletic Center, on Saturday: one surprise was artistic, the other mathematical. Concordia unveiled a massive bulldog sculpture and also announced that the school was the all-time leader in Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Concordia's student-athletes have received academic honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics academic 573 times.

ATH: Concordia tops nation in NAIA scholar-athletes
Concordia University, Nebraska had the highest number of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics scholar-athletes in the nation for the 2008-09 academic year. Seventy-four Bulldogs earned the NAIA scholar-athlete status, 16 more than second place University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind.

TEN: Bulldogs end season at GPAC tournament
The major rival of both the men and women, Nebraska Wesleyan, ended the Bulldogs season in second round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament this past weekend. The Concordia men fell 5-2 in the second round to the Prairie Wolves after defeating Dordt in the opening round 7-2. The Bulldog women fell 5-1 to Nebraska Wesleyan in the second round after having an opening round bye.
