2011 Concordia University Volleyball Camps
When you attend a Concordia volleyball camp, you can be assured that you will be taught the fundamentals of the game by an experienced coaching staff and from a team that academically ranks at the top of the NAIA year after year. We are committed to providing a positive, Christian atmosphere so you can work to improve your skills as well as your love of this great sport. July 9 - High School Team Camp
$30 per player
Our high school team camp provides coaches and teams with quality court time in one day. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches, with all courts located on campus.
Lodging is available on campus for teams traveling a distance or for teams interested in quality team bonding time!
- Camp t-shirt for every player and coach
- Housing: $15/player (bring your own linens, pillows, towels)
- JV and Varsity divisions
- Pool and tournament play, determined by number of teams in each division
- Discounted meals at local restaurants

July 10-12 - Grades 8-12 Individual Camp
Commuter: $175 (includes 4 meals)
Resident: $195 (includes 6 meals and room)
This camp is for the player at any level because it emphasizes the fundamentals of volleyball. Campers are divided in to groups by age/level of play, which allows camp coaches to vary the speed of skill progression. Team offense and defense strategies, 6 on 6 play and other competitions round out the camp schedule.
All sessions are held on campus, with 7 courts available in the Walz arena, field house, and PE Building gym.

Daily Schedule: Sun 3-9 PM, Mon 9 AM-9 PM, Tues, 9 AM-5 PM

July 13 - Grades 7-12 Setter/Hitter Camp
Grades 7-12: $55/player
This camp will offer specialized training for setters and hitters. Players will be trained separately by position during the morning session and brought together in the afternoon.
Setters: This session will focus on hand positioning, footwork, various sets (including jump and backset), and court awareness. Quality repetitions will be a high priority for this group!
Hitters: Focus for this group includes footwork, arm swing, balance, timing and net awareness. A variety of attacks will be taught for each position.
Registration from 9:00-9:30 AM.
Camp schedule: 9:30 AM – noon and 1:00-4:30 PM
Camp t-shirt and lunch are included in the cost of the camp.
July 14-15 - Grades 3-8 Individual Camp
Grades 3-5: $40 (9:00-11:30 AM)
Grades 6-8: $85 (9:00-11:30 AM and 1:00-4:00 PM)
This camp is designed to introduce the youngest players to every aspect of the game, and advance the level of play of the junior high athlete. Fundamentals will be stressed in a fun, team atmosphere. Age-appropriate progression, mini-games, and a low player-to-coach ratio will allow each player to enjoy and learn in a controlled setting.
Registration from 8:30-9:00 AM, July 14
Daily Schedule: 9:00-11:30 AM (all grades), 1:00-4:00 PM (grades 6-8 only)
Lunch is NOT included. Players may leave during lunch break or bring their own sack lunch.
