Cross Country:
Jena competed strong throughout the season ... At the first meet she placed fourth with a time of 19:57.00 ... After four of the meets she suffered an injury that kept her from competing the rest of the season. Indoor: Jena recovered in time to compete this indoor season ... She ran her fastest 1000m in 3:04.98 at the Prairie Wolf Invite ... THe Concordia Invite was where she qualified for the NAIA championships in the mile run with a time of 5:09.64 ... She also qualified in the 3000m, but did not compete at the championships ... Jena ran the 1000m and mile at the GPAC championships ... She ran a time of 3:10.47 in the 1000m and was disqualified in the mile ... At the NAIA championships Jena ran her mile in 5:13.80 ... She also was part of the All-American, sixth place finishing 4x800m relay.

Indoor:
Jena ran strong in the mile an 3k ... She ran her fastest time of 5:06.26 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite ... This time placed her first at the meet and qualified her for the NAIA National Championships ... She qualified for the NAIA Championships in the 3k with a time of 10:12.00 ... She ran both the 3000m and the 1 mile at the GPAC Championships … She placed second in the 1 mile with a time of 5:12.67 … In the 3000m she ran a time of 10:31.64 and placed sixth … At the NAIA National Championships Jena ran the 1 mile in 5:09.45 and placed seventh … She also competed in the 4x800m relay at the NAIA National Championships and placed 9:32.56. Outdoor: Jena only competed in the first meet and then was out with an injury for the rest of the season.

Prepped at Columbus High School in Columbus, Nebraska, under coaches Dave Licari and Julie Kreikmeier for four years ... Earned four varsity letters ... Captain for three years ... Placed tenth, seventh and second at cross country state ... Placed third, second and first at the district meet for cross country ... Qualified for state in the 3200 meter relay four times, 3200 meter run twice and the 1600 meter run once ... Was academic all-conference, Runner of the Week for cross country and track and Female Runner of the Year for Cross Country for three years ... Was in the National Honor Society, on the academic honor roll and was all-academic.
