Crouse and men's 4x800m relay earn All-America status on second day at NAIA National Championships
Concordia University sophomore Jamie Crouse (Belgrade, Neb.) and the Men's 4x800m Relay team of junior Jared Hoffman (Griswold, Iowa), senior Matt Trampe (Kearney, Neb.) sophomore Adam Prahlow (Florrisant, Mo) and senior David Eads (Bellevue, Neb.) earned All-America honors on Friday, Mar. 2 at the NAIA National Championships for Indoor Track and Field in Geneva, Ohio.
Crouse finished seventh in the women's weight throw, reaching a distance of 17.02 meters. The women's weight throw was the strongest event for Concordia, as six Bulldogs competed in the event. Two other Bulldogs just missed the top eight as senior Lauren Eickemeyer (Houston, Texas) finished tenth at 16.43m and senior Sara Retzlaff (Pierce, Neb.) placed elevnth at 16.33m.
The 4x800m team of Hoffman, Trampe, Prahlow, and Eads notched the best finish of the day, claiming fifth place with a time of 7:40.89.
Sophomore John Cartier (Las Vegas, Nev.) also just missed the automatic all-america status, placing ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.34.
The Bulldogs will continue action on at the NAIA National Championships in Geneva, Ohio on Saturday, Mar. 3
