Koll named GPAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Sophomore Katelyn Koll (Wilber, Neb.) was named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Tennis Player of the Week of April 16 – April 22, 2012 on Thursday, April 26. 

Koll finished a four match week for Concordia with a 6-2 overall record, including a perfect 6-0 in three GPAC matches in both #1 singles and doubles. 

Koll defeated the #1 players from Nebraska Wesleyan (6-4, 6-4), Briar Cliff (6-1, 6-0), and Morningside (6-3, 6-2).  She teamed up with Lindsea Vaudt to earn three doubles victories over the same teams 8-6, 8-1, and 8-4, respectively. 

Koll’s singles record improves to 7-5 and her doubles to 6-6 on the season.

Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2011-2012 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Koll and the rest of the Bulldog's women's tennis team returns to action on Friday, April 27 as Concordia hosts Midland at 3:30 p.m.
