GPAC release

SEWARD, Neb. – For the third-straight season, accomplished senior Katelyn Koll has been named to the GPAC women’s tennis all-conference team at No. 1 singles. Koll’s selection stands out as the headliner among Bulldog all-conference members announced Friday by the GPAC.

On the men’s side, freshman Javier Moreno garnered honorable mention in singles and the combo of Moreno and fellow freshman Patricio Esquivel also nabbed honorable mention for doubles.

Including the conference tournament, Koll went 6-1 this season against GPAC singles opponents with the only loss coming to league player of the year Frankie Eszes of Northwestern. Overall, Koll went 10-4 in 2014. In her career, Koll went 36-21 over four seasons as a Bulldog. In her sophomore through senior seasons, the native of Wilber, Neb., was 20-4 in GPAC regular-season singles matches.

Moreno and Esquivel provided a boost to the men’s program in their first collegiate seasons. Moreno went 9-8 overall (2-3 in GPAC regular-season) at the No. 2 singles spot. As a duo, the Morelia, Mexico, natives were 8-7 overall at No. 2 doubles. The pair won three of four GPAC regular-season doubles contests.
