Hollenbeck, Horn named all-conference at No. 1 doubles

SEWARD, Neb. – One of the top doubles pairs in the GPAC, the Concordia combo of senior Grace Hollenbeck and freshman Annie Horn received all-conference recognition for its work at No. 1, as announced by the league on Friday. Bulldog No. 2 doubles tandem Elyse Kohl and Emily Meisinger also collected honorable mention accolades.

As a duo, Hollenbeck and Horn went 9-6 overall in 2015. In conference matches only, they went 4-2 with wins over other doubles partners from Morningside, Midland, Hastings and Doane. Meanwhile, Kohl and Meisinger collaborated on an overall season mark of 8-6, including 4-2 in GPAC matches.

In head coach Joel Reckewey’s first season at the helm of the Concordia tennis programs, the women went 5-11 overall while the men went 3-10. Both teams’ seasons ended with losses in the GPAC tournament quarterfinals.
