2019 Concordia Softball Winter Camps

*Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend (free of charge) to have the opportunity to ask questions or listen and watch all demonstrations, drills and interactions between camp staff and camp attendees.

Hitting Camps

(All Hitting Camps will take place in the Concordia University Hitting Center on campus)
Cost: $40 per Camper
The Concordia University Softball coaching staff and players will provide all hitting campers a fundamental basis of hitting complete with top and bottom hand and lower body mechanics and swing path instruction. Smaller groups will be used to ensure many repetitions with immediate feedback. The high school camp will also focus on increasing power (exit velocity). Each camper will hit with our HitTrax program.

1st through 4th grade: January 20, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
5th through 8th grade: January 20, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
9th through 12th grade: January 27, 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Defensive Camps

(All Defensive Camps will take place on campus at the Walz Fieldhouse)
Cost: $35 per Camper (or $65 for both the hitting and defense camp)
The Concordia University Softball coaching staff and players will provide campers with defensive instruction that focuses on drills and exercises to improve catching, infield and outfield skills. The Walz Fieldhouse facility will provide expansive space to create opportunities for a full infield, as well as significant space for outfield and catching instruction. 

1st through 4th grade: January 20, 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
5th through 8th grade: January 20, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
9th through 12th grade: January 27, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Pitching Camp

(Pitching camp will take place on the campus at the Walz Fieldhouse)
Cost: $35 per Camper
The Concordia University Softball coaching staff and select players will provide all camp attendees with pitching instruction. Areas of focus provided for each camp member will be arm health, velocity development, throwing mechanics, lower-half mechanics, athletic throwing drills, proper warm up and arm care exercises in addition to developing individualized throwing programs for pitchers.

4th through 12th grade: January 27, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. (bring your own catcher)
