Bulldogs in the community
Borrow a Bulldog
The Borrow a Bulldog program is a unique way that the Concordia University football program gets involved in the community. Throughout the year and especially in the spring, Concordia football players offer their time to help members of the community through volunteer labor. Whether someone needs help with lawn work or simply needs a helping hand with various needs, the Bulldog football players make themselves available to serve the community.
Anyone in the Seward community who would like to request a volunteer can call Coach Vance Winter at 402-643-7349.
Bulldog Buddies is Concordia Football’s reading program in partnership with local elementary schools. On Fridays before every home football game, Bulldog football players visit local elementary classrooms to read books and participate in various activities with the students. Elementary students who take part in the program receive free admission to all home football games so they can watch their Bulldog Buddies! Each student, throughout the course of the football season, will receive a letter from a Bulldog football player to encourage them to student hard and strive for success in and out of the classroom.
The mission of the Bulldog Buddies Program is to engage the community with positive role models and encourage local students to become avid readers and lifelong learners.
