Folkerts developed into one of the GPAC's top post player while starting all 31 games ... led Concordia in scoring (15.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg) while also averaging 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals over 27.5 minutes per game ... ranked sixth nationally in field goal percentage (.623) ... shot 78.6 percent (114-for-145) from the free throw line ... racked up a career high 26 points in games against Midland (Jan. 7) and Northwestern (Jan. 10) ... hauled in a career best 13 rebounds at Bethel (Kan.) on Nov. 1 ... blocked a season high five shots vs. Northwestern on Jan 10 ... averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds over a three-game win streak (Dec. 29 - Jan. 3) and was named the NAIA Division II National Player of the Week.
Folkerts played in all 29 games and made 28 starts ... averaged 11.2 points (third on the team), 4.7 rebounds (second on the team), 0.7 assists and 0.6 blocks while playing an average of 22.6 minutes per game ... shot 62.2 percent (122-196) from the field and 78.6 percent from the free throw line ... put up a season high 23 points versus Nebraska Wesleyan on 12-11-13 ... amassed a sesaon high 12 rebounds in the win over Concordia (Wis.) on 1-25-14 ... blocked three shots on two occasions ... named to the CIT All-Tournament Team.
Started for two years and lettered for three on the varsity level at Milford High School for head coach Tony Muller … served as team captain for one year … honors as a senior included first team all-state as selected by the Lincoln Journal Star and Huskerland Prep, second team all-state as chosen by the Omaha World-Herald, first team all-conference and selection as a Nebraska Coaches’ Association All-Star game participant … earned first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state as a junior … led the Eagles to a district title as a sophomore and a district runner-up finish as a senior … helped Milford to state tournament appearances as a sophomore (third place) and junior … earned salutatorian status out of a class of 61.
