Concordia downed by Oklahoma Wesleyan, 10-1
The Concordia University, Nebraska, baseball team fell to Oklahoma Wesleyan 10-1 in the first game of a spil doubleheader on Friday, March 2.
With the loss the Bulldogs fell to 3-6 overall, while Oklahoma Wesleyan moved to 11-7 this season.
Concordia starter, junior Jordan Stirtz (Gretna, Neb.) fell to 0-3 on the season surrendering seven runs on nine hits and a walk in 2.2 innings.
The Bulldogs lone run came in the sixth inning as senior Tate Bedwell (Colorado Springs, Colo.) drove a leadoff double down the right field line. One out later, Bedwell scored on a pinch-hit single from senior Josh Nance (Brighton, Colo.).
The Bulldogs will face Missouri Valley College later today in the second game.
