Concordia to host Basketball Madness on January 19

Concordia University will host a Basketball Madness event on January 19.  The event will begin at 10:30 p.m. at the Walz Human Performance Complex. 

Basketball Madness will feature performances by the Concordia pep band and dance team.  There will also be a 3-point contest with a $50 prize for the winners.  Three people will also have an opportunity at a half-court shot for $250.  To participate in the 3-point contest, you must qualify on January 15 in the Walz Arena from 8-9 p.m.  There will be a men’s and women’s winner in the 3-point contest. 

The event will also help fans get ready for upcoming home GPAC contests against Dakota Wesleyan (Jan. 21) and Doane College (Jan. 24-25).  Questions regarding the event can be directed to Coach Drew Olson at 402-643-7335.
