ATH: Concordia tops nation in NAIA scholar-athletes
Concordia University, Nebraska had the highest number of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics scholar-athletes in the nation for the 2008-09 academic year. Seventy-four Bulldogs earned the NAIA scholar-athlete status, 16 more than second place University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Head coach Grant Schmidt added size and versatility to his program on Monday when he announced that 6-6 forward Evan Kucera (Walton, Neb. / Waverly H.S.) has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Concordia University Bulldogs next season.
