MBB: Birtell earns Second Team All-GPAC honors
Four Concordia University men’s basketball players received conference honors Wednesday for their efforts in the 2009-10 season. Porter Birtell was named Second Team All-GPAC. Tyler Byrd, Sam Huebner and Dustin Weber were Honorable Mention All-GPAC selections.

MBB: Briar Cliff handles Concordia in quarterfinals of GPAC Tournament, 62-53
Briar Cliff University earned a 62-53 win over Concordia University in the quarterfinals of the GPAC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday evening in Seward. The visiting Chargers improved to 23-8 overall and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament with the win. Concordia ended the season at 18-12.

MBB: Concordia to open GPAC Tournament play Thursday against Briar Cliff
The Concordia University men’s basketball team is the No. 4 seed in the 2010 GPAC Basketball Tournament which began on Feb. 23. The Bulldogs (18-11, 12-6 GPAC) earned a bye in the first round. Concordia hosts Briar Cliff University, the No. 5 seed in the tournament, on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Health, Human Performance and Athletic Center.
