The 12th annual Cattle Classic, held Nov. 11-12, 2011, features four women's games.

The event, co-sponsored by Concordia and The Cattle National Bank & Trust Co., raises money and food for the Blue Valley Community Action's Food Pantry. Pac N Save of Seward will match all canned food donations.

Sunday, Nov. 6

  • Clinic for girls grades 3-6 from 1-3 p.m. (Registration deadline is Nov. 4)

Friday, Nov. 11

  • Doane College vs. Bethel College (Doane 82, Bethel 57)
  • William Penn vs. Concordia University (Concordia 86, William Penn 70)

Saturday, Nov. 12

  • Doane College vs. William Penn starts at 2 p.m.
  • Bethel College vs. Concordia University starts at 4 p.m. 


Admission information

The price of admission to the games is as follows:

  • For adults
    • 10 cans or $10 for weekend pass
    • 6 cans or $6 per game
  • Concordia students
    • 6 cans or $6 for weekend pass
    • 3 cans or $2 per game
  • Children
    • 6 cans or $6 for weekend pass
    • 3 cans or $2 per game
    • (youth who participate in the basketball clinic are admitted free; also, children five and under are admitted free)

No passes.

Basketball clinic for girls in grades 3-4-5-6

Girls in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 are invited to join us prior to the tournament for a basketball clinic. The clinic will be hosted by Concordia coaches and players.
  • Sunday, Nov. 6, from 1-3 p.m.

 

A free clinic T-shirt and poster will be provided. Participants are also admitted free to Cattle Classic Tournament games, Nov. 11-12.

Cost: The requested donation for each participant is six cans of food.
