Baseball Coaching Staff
Jeremy Geidel, head coach
Head Coach Jeremy Geidel enters his eleventh season with the Bulldogs. Under his guidance the Bulldogs have reached the postseason in four of the last seven years. Geidel hails from Loveland, Colo.
Coach Geidel strives to have each player grow physically, mentally and spiritually while they are a part of the Concordia baseball program. A 1996 graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska, Geidel earned his master’s degree in secondary administration in 2000.
Off the diamond, Jeremy and his wife Amanda have three children. In addition to his coaching duties he serves as assistant athletic director. Contact Coach Geidel
Ben Anderson, assistant coach
Ben Anderson enters his first season with Bulldogs working mainly with the hitters and outfielders.
As a player at Crown College (MN) Anderson excelled as a centerfielder. For the Purple Storm he was a four year letterwinner and starter as well as a captain his junior and senior years. Was named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) All-conference teams in 2005 and 2006. During each of his four seasons Anderson was one of the top three base stealers in the UMAC. He Currently holds the record for most stolen bases in a season as well as the most hit by pitches in a season.
Off the diamond, Ben resides in Seward, Neb. and is a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves as well as the New York Mets.
Matt Rottmann, assistant coach
Matt Rottmann enters his first season with Bulldogs working mainly with the Pitchers.
A former Bulldog, Rottmann was a three year letter winner for the Bulldogs. Rottmann will take over the responsibilites of the day-to-day operations of the Concordia pitching staff.
Off the diamond, Matt resides in Seward, Neb. and has graduated from Concordia, NE with a bachelor of arts degree in Sports Management. He is currently working towards a degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Physical Education.
