    Horn, Bulldogs extend winning streaks

    It had been more than three weeks since the Concordia women's tennis team took the court. The layoff didn't stop the Bulldogs from claiming their fourth win in row. They defeated Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday (March 29).

    Due to expected inclement weather on Saturday (April 1), the Hastings Bronco Open has been called off. The Bulldogs are scheduled to host the Concordia Invite April 7-8.

    Concordia track and field has garnered both GPAC field athlete of the week awards. Cody Boellstorff and Allie Brooks are winners this week after producing NAIA leading marks at last week's Wildcat Classic.

    Head coach Todd LaVelle's squad is now scheduled to play a doubleheader at Hastings on Thursday (March 30). The twin bill was pushed back a day due to inclement weather.

    Council fans 10 in shutout of defending GPAC champs

    Wade Council was dealing on Tuesday. He whirled a four-hit shutout that included 10 strikeouts, helping Concordia to its first conference win. Casey Berg and Christian Meza both had four hits on the day.

    While opening up GPAC regular-season play, the Concordia baseball team dropped a pair of home contests to Northwestern on Monday. Kaleb Geiger delivered two RBI doubles for the Bulldogs (11-11, 0-2 GPAC).

    Amy Ahlers and Murphy Sears both began the spring golf season with strong efforts, posting top 10 finishes at the Midland Spring Invite held at Fremont Golf Club.

    Brooks breaks meet, school records in outdoor opening meet

    Allie Brooks etched her name atop another all-time school list while breaking the meet pole vault record at the Wildcat Classic. Brooks and four other Bulldog women recorded automatic national qualifying marks.
