High School Speech Workshop

Saturday, December 9, 2017
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Join members of the Concordia speech team for a full day of free workshops on topics like event selection, vocal characterizations, blocking/bookwork and more.

Participants are invited to bring pieces and ideas they are working on for time to practice and critique. You'll be given the opportunity to perform and practice in the afternoon. Enjoy lunch with everyone on Saturday, take the opportunity to tour campus, and explore what else Concordia can offer.

Other notes about the workshops:

  • Camp registration deadline is Wednesday, December 6.
  • Student will learn from current college students and professors, exploring the differences between high school and college speech events, and how to best craft their events for competition on the Nebraska circuit.
  • Student will have the change to audition for speech and theatre scholarships while on campus.
  • Lunch on Saturday is provided; other meals may be purchased in the Janzow Dining Hall.
